The Artists at work

The kiddos have been hard at work at their Christmas thank you cards.  The involved quite a lot of finger paint.  Quinn thought that the yellow paint was the tastiest and Lola completely subscribes to the belief that more is better!

Quinn is tricky

The other morning I went into the kitchen to get myself a coffee and came back to a very proud little man sitting on the couch.  He has figured out how to get himself up on the couch, it is hilarious process that involves some wiggling and a whole lot of grunting, but he does it.  And couldn't be happier that he now can be up with the big kids.

Waiting

Every night around 5:30 the kids start their vigil of watching for Dad's arrival home.  It is pretty cute and they get so excited when the car pulls up outside of the house.

Fifty Three Months Old

Lola continues to grow cuter and cuter by the day.  On this particular day, she had a bit of a fever and wanted to wear a fever bear on her forehead so that I could keep on eye on her temperature.

Quinn One Year Old

More updates about Quinn's first birthday to come, but for now, his one year pictures with the big green chair.

The Zoo

Another family trip to the zoo!  We wanted to see the new penguin babies, but they weren't out for viewing yet.  We weren't disappointed though, the polar bears put on a fun show.  Much more interesting then in the summer when they just lie there hating the heat.
Also, we found this wall of fish.  Every time we visit we discover something new.  We love the zoo!

New Years

It was a pretty fun night.  The kiddos went for their traditional sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Steve's house, which meant that Mom and Dad were loose on the town.

Catching Up

Things have been busy around here.  The countdown to my return to work is on and we are trying to enjoy every remaining moment.  So, here is the last few weeks in photos.

Lola finished up her intro to trampoline course.  She LOVED it and really learned a lot over the eight weeks.  Grandma and I were very impressed with her and were cheering her on from the sidelines.
We got some snow! Finally enough snow to go tobogganing, shovel and build a snowman and it even stuck around for a few weeks.  We have been waiting for this.

Grandpa Bill and Uncle Jon hosted a Michigan State Wild Wing Bowl tailgate party.  We all got our Michigan State gear on and watched football late into the night in the garage.

Lola and Quinn had a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  During their stay Lola and Grandpa Steve were busy with a number of projects, but Lola was very proud of this plane that they assembled together.
Grandma, Lola and Zen went to see the Webber Musical version of the Wizard of Oz. They had an amazing time and Lola has not stopped talking about it.
Before Christmas Lola went to Tante Ness's salon for her first big girl hair cut.
Ness and Lola did a great job.
One day when Lola was supposed to be cleaning up her room, she decided that her time was better spent putting together this outfit.
 She makes me smile.
