While you were out
Lola was visiting at Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend, while she was there we decided to finish the kitchen project. After almost two years of renovation projects, we finally have one finished room. The part of the kitchen that we have been most anticipating is Miss Lola's magnetic chalk board.
Darcy tapes out the area to ensure perfection.
Applying the paint with love and care.
The finished project!
I would love to say that when she got home she ran to it and started playing, but in reality she ran right by it. After we showed it to her she thought that it was pretty cool.
We aren't allowed to use chalk on it yet, but once we can it is going to be legen (wait for it) -dary!
Thanks for the visit Grandma and Grandpa, I can't wait to see photos of all of your adventures.

Brunch with Sawyer
This weekend we did one of our very favourite things: going for brunch. Apparently a number of mom and dad friends enjoy this activity, I just go for the bacon.
Here we are hanging out with Sawyer and his dad. Mom tried to get a good photo of the dads and their babies.
It turned out to be a whole lot harder then she thought. Maybe a photo of the moms and their babies, that would probably be easier.
Nope, maybe we should just put the camera away since it isn't a day for photos.Except for this sweet photo of me dancing on the pool table, woot woot!

First BBQ of 2010
Here it is folks, pictures from our first BBQ of 2010. We are so excited about the amazing weather that we have been having; buds are appearing on trees, the birds are returning, the grass is growing; it is so wonderful to be outside again.
Not only have we had our first BBQ, but we also have had our first back yard dinner of 2010. And it is only March! We have declared winter officially over in our household. The winter coats, boots, and other random winter paraphernalia are packed away. Don't make a fool out of me mother nature!

RockaBilly Brunch and Playdough
Aunt Sally made me some playdough. It doesn't really look like I am enjoying it in the first photo, but I really did like it. Thanks for the cool playdough Aunt Sally!
On Sunday I went to my first live music event. Beej, Dylan and I went to a RockaBilly brunch. There was this really neat RockaBilly band playing and we ran around and laughed and played and danced. The adults just sat and drank coffee and ate. It was pretty cool, Dad said that we were going to come again for sure!
Dylan wore his super cool suspenders. The band was pretty impressed!
Beej's mom took more photos, so you will have to check his blog for a better recap of the event.

New Gallery
Our list of things to do around the house just got shorter by one. We have finally almost finished the kitchen. There is still a little bit of paint to go up on the walls and a new light to hang, but we are almost there. The most exciting part of this latest series of house improvements is that we finally have a place to properly display Lola's works of art. As a side note who knew that stainless steel was not magnetic - not me that's for sure!
