Every year we take a trip to Fernwood Farms in Collingwood to visit the pumpkin patch. Fall weather in Ontario is tricky and unpredictable, last year there was a blizzard, in 2011 it was super cold and we were under dressed, and in 2010 we were wearing toques. So, it was quite a surprise that for our 2013 visit we were wearing bare arms and sunscreen.
The tractor made of hay was pretty popular with Quinn. He is pretty crazy about cars right now, so he was excited to get to drive one, even if it is made of straw.
Lola picked out three great pumpkins, we are already in intense rounds of discussions about what we will carve into our pumpkins.
Thanks for the great visit Grandpa and Oma!

Happy Birthday Tamara
Back in August when the Vancouver Dunton's were visiting we took the liberty of celebrating Tamara's birthday a early. This allowed her to have the complete Dunton birthday experience and gave us another excuse to get together for a party.
It was a beautiful day and the big kids pulled out the slip and slide and water guns.
We spent most of the day running around the back yard; the only way that the kids could be coaxed back into the house was with promises of cake.
Shaymus, Lola and Quinn were in charge of decorating the Dunton birthday cake for Tamara. A large number of Smarties were eaten by Quinn before they could make it to the cake, but in the end there were enough to please the birthday girl.
Tamara put on a beautiful dress and a tiara for cake time.
I'm not sure why, but Grandpa helping Lola clap while singing Happy Birthday. Dunton's are big clapper and stompers; so this might be a genetic thing.
Thank for the great visit Vancouver Dunton's! We miss you guys lots!

Quinn Twenty Months Old
It is impossible to get him to sit long enough for a photo. These were the best from a full twenty minute photo session!

Happy Birthday Beej
Sometime last year Beej discovered tanks and now he is unable
to talk about anything but tanks. Well that is a stretch; he can also
talk about tank battle strategy, his favorite types of tanks, what specific tanks look like, which tank would be best suited for different types of terrain and how he is the pretty amazing at World of Tanks. So, it was no surprise that for his seventh birthday he had a tank themed pool party.

Lola decided that you don't always have to dress the part for a party; sometimes you can just wear your favorite flower skirt and pink shirt to a party and be happy with it.
Quinn has a pretty exentisive camo wardrobe; almost all of them are hand me downs from Beej
It was a great afternoon filled with lots of fun and laughter and Quinn was excited to be introduced to the world of tanks by Beej. We may have another tank aficionado on our hands! Happy birthday Beej!
