Christmas Review

There were just too many photos to post any other way. Enjoy this small snippet of our Christmas adventures.

Giant Bear

Uncle Jon got Lola this giant bear for Christmas. We thought that Lola might be a bit afraid of its hugeness, but she really likes it. Sometimes she gives baby to Giant Bear for him to look after. She really trusts him.
Strong like Giant Bear.

Hugs for Giant Bear.

Christmas Glee

The Christmas posts are going to take awhile to organize; we had so much fun and took so many photos. Our four Christmas celebrations are going to take multiple posts. So, while I work on that (or play x-box and nap) enjoy these photos.

Thanks for the shirt Sarah I love it! I can't believe that I have to wait until April for a new episode!!

Christmas Happenings

Before we notice Christmas is going to be here and gone. Things have been very busy around here with getting ready for the big holiday and Lola being sick. But, we are almost organized and Lola is feeling better. Here are a few picture of the little lady and the things that she has been doing.
More amazing art work continues to come home from day care. Lola doesn't like to participate in the art projects that make her hands messy, but she loves crayons. Today when I picked her up from day care her teeth were blue and her breath smelt of crayons.
Lola has been attending a number of Christmas parties and has been a hit at everyone. This amazing jacket and matching boots from Oma and Grandpa doesn't hurt her jaw dropping entrances.
She is working on giving hugs (gentle ones). This bear from Meaghan has been the recipient of many hugs and a few nibbles.

The Tree

Lola has a few new teeth coming in, so she was long asleep before I took these photos. I'll try to get one with the little lady soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy the splendor that is our Christmas tree!

Sixteen Months Old

Our monthly photo shoots continue to get more and more interesting.I like this very relaxed pose.

Le Papillon

Grandpa and Baba came down for a visit. They took mom and dad out for a Christmas concert while I visited with Uncle Jon (thanks for the fun times Uncle Jon) and then all of us went to Le Papillon in the Park for dinner. It was delicious. Mom was too busy eating her delicious meal to take photos, so all we have are these two shots taken before the food arrived.

It was a really delicious meal and we all can't wait to go back! Thanks for the great day Baba, Grandpa, and Uncle Jon!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

On Saturday we bundled up and headed north in search of the perfect Christmas tree. We learned from last year and remembered to bring a sled along this year to transport Lola in.
The Christmas tree hunters heading out on their search.
The little red sled is surprisingly fast and almost got away from us on a couple of hills.
The search continues.
The perfect tree!
Lola watched with great curiosity as Daddy cut down the tree.
Binding the tree up so that we can strap it onto the beetle. You would be surprised by the number of curious looks you get when driving a beetle that has a Christmas tree strapped to it!

The tree looks great in the house; all lit up and decorated. I'll take some pictures of the finished product and put them up for you soon.

December 2nd, 3rd, 4th

We are on track for our 25 days of Christmas.
December 2nd we visited Anonymous and dropped off some Christmas decorations.
December 3rd we listened to Christmas music. We actually have the Christmas songs on everyday, but today we sat, really listened, and sang along with our favourites. Lola wore her rooster toque while we listened.
December 4th we made our own Christmas decorations. I think that they turned out pretty well and I am sure will always have a special place in our hearts.
