Earning my keep

Mom and Dad have been talking for awhile about earning my keep. This weekend I learned how to help dad with the dishes. Washing my hands is one of my favourite things to do, so it just goes that I would love washing the dishes too.

Next weekend mom said that she was going to teach me how to use the vacuum.
These are just some cute pictures of me sporting my new SAC sweatshirt. Dad is so proud.

Happy Weekend!

Saturday started off like any other Saturday. Enjoying a little breakfast and spending some quiet time with the Globe and Mail.
After breakfast Grandma came for a visit and we spent some time looking at the squirrels and birds in the back yard.
Later Grandpa-Baba came over to play with me while Mom and Dad went and got hair cuts.
We had a good time playing with my kitchen. By the time Mom and Dad got back Grandpa-Baba and I were the best of friends. He makes a mean fried egg!
The rest of the Mississauga Dunton clan arrived later in the afternoon for a visit. Uncle Josh wanted a photo that didn't look like I was trying to squirm away, but this was the best I was willing to give.
After all the visiting and playing we headed out for dinner to our favourite restaurant to celebrate Aunt Emily's birthday. There were no waiters standing on chairs singing, but I think that Aunt Emily had a good time. Thanks for the visit and inviting us to dinner, it was delicious!

Art Gallery

I recently went for my first visit to the Art Gallery of Ontario. You aren't allowed to take any pictures while you are in the gallery, but Dad managed to get these artistic shots of me while we were taking a break at the gallery cafe.

Hanging with the Beej

Cheers Beej! Cheers Lola!

Visit to Grandpa and Baba's House

On the weekend we went over to visit with Baba and Grandpa. Uncle Jon and I made some beautiful music together.
Daddy and Grandpa made great human swings. I love this!
Baba and I looked at all the pictures. I picked out mom and dad from an old photo, everyone was really proud. Mom got all teary eyed.
While we were there we supervised the Mississauga Dunton's participation in the Dunton Christmas Challenge. Don't worry Steph, mom was a stickler for the rules!
Grandpa and I hung out while I ate the delicious Sheppard's pie that Baba made. Thanks for having us over for a lovely visit Grandpa and Baba!

Kitchen Photo Shoot

Mom and Dad are always taking photos of me. Recently I discovered the view finder on the back of the digital camera.
Now, before the photo has even been taken I want to race over and see how it turned out.
I just want to make sure that they got my good side.
So, that is why mom and dad look like they are holding me back in all these pictures. It is the only way that I will stay still long enough to get a photo taken.

Busy Weekend

I thought that with the holidays over things would slow down a bit around here. But, so far our schedule shows no signs of letting up. On Saturday Daddy's old school held an event for Old Boys and their families.I spent some time with all my friends in the bouncy castle. Beej took good care to make sure that no one bounced on me.Daddy played in a Old Boys basketball game, I found running along the bleachers almost as exciting as watching Daddy show off his mad bball skillz.
Beej came to watch and to cheer Daddy's team on to victory. At dinner the drums and pipes played. It was loud, but pretty cool to dance along to.
This weekend I also started my swimming lessons, Grandma came down to watch my debut in the pool. I'm getting all ready for the big trip to Florida in a few weeks.
The water is really cold, but Daddy and I manage to have a good time.
And Meaghan came over for a visit. I managed to convince her that chasing me around the dinning room table was big time fun. I'm pretty sure that she loved it!

Studio Apartment

This year Santa brought me a kitchen for Christmas. Mom and Dad set it up in the living room with my table and chairs and now I have my own studio apartment.
Here, I'll take you on a tour of my new favourite space. Kitchen and dining area are over there, toys are to the left and Giant Bear to the right.
Yup, that's about it. Can I get you something to eat?
The bread is a bit stale, but Giant Bear doesn't seem to mind.
Mom says that I should use the magna doodle for phone messages, just like on Friends.
It's little, but it's a start!

Ukrainian Christmas

Our final stop of the Christmas tour is Ukrainian Christmas at Baba and Grandpa's house. This year was even better than last year and Grandpa started crying just after welcoming us all (a new record for Grandpa's tears).
Baba and Auntie Pam did all the cooking, mom and dad said that it was delicious. I didn't try that many dishes and mostly stuck to my Ukrainian hot dogs.

My buddy Dylan and his parents got to come this year. He had lots of hugs for me, maybe too many hugs. Nahhh.
Dylan also had lots of fun climbing the 'ladder', previously known to blog readers as Uncle Jon.
Saint Nick even came and brought presents. Both of mine take batteries and make lots of noise! I'm already doing lots of dancing with them.
This wraps up our Christmas season. It has been a great one!

Back to Work

The holidays are over and we are back to work and day care. Life is back to its hectic self and there is significantly less time for lazing around the house. We are already looking forward to our family Florida vacation in February!
Lola is off to day care with her new fancy back pack. If she had more hair I would be easily convinced that she was a teenager off to high school.
Time continues to fly by around here and work appears to have a multiplier effect. I'm already having a hard time remembering this....
I'm going to have to start taking more photos!
